I Am What I Am: One Life is a freeform typing game for building self-esteem.

The game uses sentiment analysis to detect the positivity or negativity in your opinion about yourself. By typing positive thoughts, you turn back time and reset the clock. By typing negative thoughts, you rush closer to a morbid ending.

The game has to be played once every 24 hours. Just like building self-esteem is a constant daily struggle, you must play the game once every 24 hours or the in-game timer runs out and the game ends. Then, you cannot play the game again on that computer.

Notes:

1. The game is based on an older prototype I made called Wither and Bloom. The gif of the plant shriveling is preserved from that original prototype.

2. The play once-every-24-hours game mechanic reinforces the importance of being kind to yourself every day in the real world.

3. The stream of personality qualifiers showing up in the default textbox represents the incessant self-judgment that one passes throughout the day.

I am unable to type anything.

You have to start typing with "I am" (case sensitive). That is not clearly explained in the game. I may need to find another solution.
